Looking for an active, sporty, proactive and responsible nanny who is confident caring for children from 8 months to school age. The ideal candidate will be warm, engaging, highly organised and intuitive, someone who uses their initiative, anticipates the family’s needs and is happy to support the smooth running of a busy family home.

The family values a screen-free environment, so the nanny should be passionate about engaging children through hands-on play, outdoor adventures, creative activities, reading and age-appropriate learning experiences. They are looking for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle, loves spending time outdoors and can balance excellent childcare with practical household management, creating a nurturing, stimulating and organised environment for the children to thrive.

Mum is currently on maternity leave and plans to return to work in December. Dad works from his home office. During the settling-in period, at least one parent will be around to support the transition. The family will be away for two weeks over Christmas.

The eldest child will attend school five days a week, while the middle child will attend nursery four days a week and spend Fridays at home with the nanny. The youngest child will be at home with the nanny throughout the week. The role will suit someone confident managing the needs of three children of different ages, balancing the baby’s care with the older children’s school and nursery routines, activities and individual interests.

Duties:
All nursery duties and light family household management.
Providing loving, attentive and developmentally appropriate care for all three children.
Managing the children’s daily routines, including naps, mealtimes, activities and developmental needs.
School and nursery pick-ups using an electric bike. The school and nursery are conveniently located within half a mile of each other.
Taking the older children to after-school activities, including tennis and rock climbing.
Planning fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities at home, as well as outings to local parks and outdoor spaces.
Providing full-day care for the youngest child and caring for the middle child at home on Fridays, balancing their individual needs and routines.
Preparing healthy, nutritious snacks and simple family meals, with the parents happy to eat the same meals as the children.
Batch cooking and preparing dinners in advance to support the smooth running of busy weekdays.
Keeping the fridge stocked and organised.
Managing family laundry, including washing, folding and putting clothes away.
Tidying and organising cupboards and keeping shared family spaces organised.
Taking initiative with day-to-day household organisation and anticipating the family’s needs.
The family has a cleaner who attends twice a week, so the focus is on keeping the household running smoothly alongside the childcare, rather than deep cleaning.

The ideal candidate will be confident working independently in a sole-charge role, while communicating effectively with both parents and adapting to the needs of a busy family home.

Salary: £20-£22 gross/ hour.
